P. Krishnan, former Senior Deputy Editor of Sportstar, passed away in Chennai on October 20 at the age of 69. Affectionately known as PK sir, he was a patient mentor to many journalists, embodying the old school of journalism with his meticulous editing and headline-crafting skills. Krishnan, who joined The Hindu in 1980 before moving to Sportstar, was a guiding force on the editorial desk for over three decades. His colleagues remember him for his warmth, humour, generosity, and willingness to help, making the Sportstar desk feel like a family.

स्पोर्टस्टार के पूर्व सीनियर डिप्टी एडिटर पी. कृष्णन का 20 अक्टूबर को चेन्नई में 69 साल की उम्र में निधन हो गया। प्यार से पीके सर के नाम से जाने जाने वाले, वह कई पत्रकारों के लिए एक धैर्यवान मार्गदर्शक थे, जिन्होंने अपने सधे हुए संपादन और हेडलाइन बनाने के कौशल से पत्रकारिता के पुराने स्कूल का प्रतीक बने। 1980 में द हिंदू से जुड़ने से पहले स्पोर्टस्टार में जाने वाले कृष्णन, तीन दशकों से अधिक समय तक संपादकीय डेस्क पर एक मार्गदर्शक शक्ति थे। उनके सहकर्मी उन्हें उनके स्नेह, हास्य, उदारता और मदद करने की इच्छा के लिए याद करते हैं, जिससे स्पोर्टस्टार डेस्क एक परिवार जैसा लगता था।
