YSRCP Seeks Election Commission Intervention Over Pulivendula Nomination Day Violence

The YSRCP has appealed to the State Election Commission to intervene following alleged police brutality during nominations for municipal polls in Pulivendula. YSRCP MP YS Avinash Reddy condemned the alleged lathi-charge, tear gas, and firing against party candidates and supporters. He claimed police assured safe nomination filing but later denied access, while TDP workers were allowed to gather. Reddy alleged nomination papers were snatched and torn, questioning the impartiality of officials and the possibility of free and fair elections.

वाईएसआरसीपी ने पुलिवेंदुला में नगर निगम चुनावों के लिए नामांकन के दौरान कथित पुलिस बर्बरता के बाद राज्य चुनाव आयोग से हस्तक्षेप की अपील की है। वाईएसआरसीपी सांसद वाईएस अविनाश रेड्डी ने पार्टी उम्मीदवारों और समर्थकों के खिलाफ कथित लाठीचार्ज, आंसू गैस और फायरिंग की निंदा की। उन्होंने दावा किया कि पुलिस ने नामांकन दाखिल करने की सुरक्षा का आश्वासन दिया था लेकिन बाद में पहुंच से वंचित कर दिया, जबकि टीडीपी कार्यकर्ताओं को इकट्ठा होने की अनुमति दी गई। रेड्डी ने आरोप लगाया कि नामांकन पत्र छीन लिए गए और फाड़ दिए गए, जिससे अधिकारियों की निष्पक्षता और स्वतंत्र और निष्पक्ष चुनावों की संभावना पर सवाल उठते हैं।
