Odisha cricket is undergoing a significant transition, focusing on long-term revival in the Ranji Trophy by investing in young talent. Head coach Pravanjan Mullick is rebuilding the squad around promising players from the Under-19 and Under-23 teams, moving on from established veterans. This strategic shift aims to develop a stronger team for the future, with youngsters expected to serve Odisha cricket for the next four to five years. The team has also recruited professional players from outside the state to bolster key areas.
