Israel Seizes UN Refugee Training Centre

Israeli forces seized a UN vocational training centre for Palestinian refugees in east Jerusalem on Tuesday. The UN agency UNRWA had warned that Israeli authorities were threatening its Qalandia training centre. Established in 1952, the centre provides vocational training to approximately 340 Palestinians from the occupied West Bank annually. UN chief Antonio Guterres condemned the raid, which targets the already beleaguered UNRWA.
