Former DRC President Joseph Kabila Joins Rebellion Against Current Leader

Former President Joseph Kabila has joined a new political-military coalition, the Front for the Refoundation of the Nation (FRN), challenging President Felix Tshisekedi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Announced in Goma, the coalition replaces the existing M23-AFC alliance and calls for resistance by all means, including force. Kabila's move brings a former head of state directly into the rebellion's leadership, raising fears among residents that the ongoing conflict, which has displaced millions, will be prolonged.

पूर्व राष्ट्रपति जोसेफ काबि‍ला ने कांगो के राष्ट्रपति फेलिक्स त्शिसेकेदी को चुनौती देते हुए एक नए राजनीतिक-सैन्य गठबंधन, फ्रंट फॉर द रिफाउंडेशन ऑफ द नेशन (FRN) में शामिल हो गए हैं। गोमा में घोषित इस गठबंधन ने मौजूदा M23-AFC गठबंधन की जगह ली है और बल सहित सभी साधनों से प्रतिरोध का आह्वान किया है। काबि‍ला के इस कदम से पूर्व राष्ट्राध्यक्ष सीधे विद्रोह के नेतृत्व में आ गए हैं, जिससे निवासियों में यह डर बढ़ गया है कि चल रहा संघर्ष, जिसने लाखों लोगों को विस्थापित किया है, लंबा खिंच जाएगा।
