Jharkhand's road construction department has mandated engineers to ensure 24/7 maintenance and smooth transit on all state roads, bridges, and infrastructure ahead of Kali Puja, Diwali, and Chhath festivals. Extensive repair schemes have been sanctioned, with discretionary funds released to divisions to prevent financial bottlenecks. Stretches connecting major puja pandals and Chhath ghats must be pothole-free and safe, free of debris, especially for barefoot worshippers. Field officers are directed to conduct inspections and implement remedial measures, with diversion plans and safety furniture in place.
