CJP Leaders Detained in Delhi; Lawyers Denied Access, Phones Confiscated

Delhi Police detained CJP chief spokesperson Saurav Dass, Ashutosh Ranka, and Ajinkya Shinde morning, accusing them of attempting to protest at Jantar Mantar. CJP's legal head Ratna Singh stated this violates legal rights, questioning the police's authority. She reported that lawyers were denied access to the detained leaders at the Jaffarpur Kalan police station, and their phones were confiscated, raising serious concerns. The detentions occurred despite the Home Ministry prohibiting protests at Jantar Mantar, reallocating permitted protest sites to Ramlila Maidan, Burari Ground, and CBD Ground.

दिल्ली पुलिस ने सीजेपी के मुख्य प्रवक्ता सौरभ दास, आशुतोष रांका और अजिंक्य शिंदे को जंतर मंतर पर विरोध प्रदर्शन करने की कोशिश के आरोप में सुबह हिरासत में ले लिया। सीजेपी की कानूनी प्रमुख रत्ना सिंह ने कहा कि यह कानूनी अधिकारों का उल्लंघन है और उन्होंने पुलिस के अधिकार पर सवाल उठाया। उन्होंने बताया कि जफ्फरपुर कलां पुलिस स्टेशन में हिरासत में लिए गए नेताओं तक वकीलों को पहुँचने नहीं दिया गया और उनके फोन जब्त कर लिए गए, जिससे गंभीर चिंताएँ बढ़ गई हैं।
