Congress Calls Odisha Bandh

The Congress party has called for a statewide bandh in Odisha. The shutdown is primarily to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged voter list manipulations. Additionally, the party is protesting against errors in school textbooks and demanding the rollback of the amended MMDR Act. Congress leaders stated their intention to seek support from INDIA bloc partners for the bandh. This action follows similar protests by other outfits over the textbook issues.
