Zelenskyy: Starlink Restrictions in Ukraine Deliberate, Not Technical

Times of India · world

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that restrictions on the military use of SpaceX's Starshield, a militarized version of Starlink, are deliberate and not due to technical issues. He noted that speed limitations on the internet network remain in place across Ukraine, significantly slowing connections. Zelenskyy mentioned that vehicles connected to Starshield operated normally when tested in Europe, indicating the restrictions are specifically applied within Ukraine. Ukraine relies on Starshield for air defense, including intercepting drones and targeting artillery strikes.
