Bihar Boat Tragedies Claim Over 52 Lives in Three Years

Bihar has recorded over 52 deaths in 18 boat capsize incidents across the state in the past three years. In 2026 alone, 30 people have died in such incidents as of October 13, nearly double the toll from 2025 and four times that of 2024. The latest tragedy on October 13 in Vaishali district's Raghopur area resulted in the deaths of at least 13 children.

पिछले तीन सालों में पूरे बिहार में 18 नाव पलटने की घटनाओं में 52 से ज़्यादा लोगों की जान गई है। सिर्फ 2026 में 13 अक्टूबर तक ऐसी घटनाओं में 30 लोगों की मौत हो चुकी है, जो 2025 के मुकाबले लगभग दोगुनी और 2024 के मुकाबले चार गुना है। 13 अक्टूबर को वैशाली जिले के राघोपुर इलाके में हुई सबसे ताज़ा दुर्घटना में कम से कम 13 बच्चों की मौत हो गई थी।
