Businessman Facing Extortion Threats Already Provided Security, HC Told

A businessman alleging extortion and two attacks has informed the Punjab and Haryana High Court that a threat assessment has been completed and security personnel deployed. His latest plea for enhanced protection is currently under consideration by the authorities. The court was apprised that while security has been provided, the petitioner seeks further armed police protection and an SIT investigation into a larger criminal conspiracy. The administrations of Haryana and Chandigarh have assured the court that necessary actions will be taken after reviewing his updated representation.

फिरौती मांगने और दो हमलों का आरोप लगाने वाले एक व्यापारी ने पंजाब और हरियाणा हाई कोर्ट को बताया है कि खतरे का आकलन पूरा हो चुका है और सुरक्षा कर्मियों को तैनात कर दिया गया है। बेहतर सुरक्षा के लिए उनकी नवीनतम याचिका पर अधिकारियों द्वारा विचार किया जा रहा है। अदालत को सूचित किया गया कि सुरक्षा प्रदान की गई है, लेकिन याचिकाकर्ता ने अतिरिक्त सशस्त्र पुलिस सुरक्षा और एक बड़े आपराधिक षड्यंत्र की SIT जांच की मांग की है। हरियाणा और चंडीगढ़ के प्रशासन ने अदालत को आश्वासन दिया है कि उनकी अद्यतन अर्जी की समीक्षा के बाद आवश्यक कदम उठाए जाएंगे।
