Two Elephants Found Dead Near Coimbatore

Two elephants, including a calf, were discovered dead in separate incidents near Coimbatore on Wednesday. The calf, part of a herd from Kerala, was found in the Madukkarai forest range and is suspected to have been killed by a carnivore due to deep puncture wounds. The second deceased elephant, aged 8-10 years, was found in the Coimbatore forest range, with a postmortem indicating intestinal blockage as the cause of death.

कोयंबटूर के पास बुधवार को दो हाथियों के शव मिले, जिनमें एक हाथी का बच्चा भी था। केरल से आए झुंड का यह बच्चा मडक्करी वन क्षेत्र में मिला, जिसके शरीर पर गहरे घाव थे, जिससे आशंका है कि किसी मांसाहारी जानवर ने उसे मारा है। दूसरा हाथी, जिसकी उम्र 8-10 साल थी, कोयंबटूर वन क्षेत्र में मिला। पोस्टमार्टम रिपोर्ट में आंतों में रुकावट को मौत का कारण बताया गया है।
