Delhi's new online liquor booking app, introduced by the DSIIDC, has become a political battleground between the AAP and BJP. The AAP, led by Saurabh Bharadwaj, is demanding the scheme's withdrawal, accusing the BJP government of pushing it. Officials clarified that permission for the app was granted by the previous AAP government in December 2024 to ensure transparency and prevent brand pushing. The app allows users to book liquor online for in-store pickup but does not offer home delivery.
