Tamil Nadu to Distribute Cakes to Over 61 Lakh Students for Children's Day

Tamil Nadu is set to distribute cakes to approximately 61.84 lakh students across more than 30,000 government and aided schools for Children's Day. The initiative, costing ₹9.27 crore, will see celebrations on November 13, with cakes expected to arrive by November 12. School education officials have been instructed to ensure storage areas are clean and pest-free. CEOs will verify cake allotments against student numbers, and a one percent buffer stock will be maintained in each district. Students will receive cakes with a 'not-for-sale' label and no MRP details.

तमिलनाडु में बाल दिवस के मौके पर 30,000 से ज़्यादा सरकारी और सहायता प्राप्त स्कूलों के करीब 61.84 लाख छात्रों को केक बांटे जाएंगे। इस पहल पर 9.27 करोड़ रुपये खर्च होंगे और इसका जश्न 13 नवंबर को मनाया जाएगा, जबकि केक 12 नवंबर तक पहुंचने की उम्मीद है। स्कूल शिक्षा अधिकारियों को यह सुनिश्चित करने का निर्देश दिया गया है कि भंडारण क्षेत्र साफ और कीट-मुक्त हों। सीईओ प्रत्येक जिले में छात्र संख्या के मुकाबले केक आवंटन का सत्यापन करेंगे और एक प्रतिशत बफर स्टॉक बनाए रखेंगे। छात्रों को 'बिक्री के लिए नहीं' लेबल वाले और बिना एमआरपी विवरण वाले केक मिलेंगे।
