Times of India · health

The Kerala health department is launching the 'Golden Goal' project to significantly reduce road accident fatalities by ensuring victims receive timely emergency care at the most suitable hospitals. The initiative aims to address the growing public health challenge by transporting victims to appropriate facilities within minutes. Initially, the 108 ambulance network will integrate with government ambulances, with private and NGO ambulances joining in the second phase. The project prioritizes saving lives in the crucial first hour, improving emergency response coordination, and reducing the financial burden on families.
