Election Commission Announces Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls in 6 States and UTs

The Election Commission has announced the annual Special Summary Revision of electoral rolls for Arunachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Mizoram, Odisha, and Sikkim. This exercise aims to enrol eligible voters, especially young and first-time electors, and process advance applications from those turning eligible by April, July, and October 2027. Draft rolls will be published on November 30, with final rolls on January 21.

चुनाव आयोग ने अरुणाचल प्रदेश, चंडीगढ़, दादरा और नगर हवेली और दमन और दीव, मिजोरम, ओडिशा और सिक्किम के लिए मतदाता सूची के वार्षिक विशेष संक्षिप्त संशोधन की घोषणा की है। इस अभ्यास का उद्देश्य पात्र मतदाताओं, विशेष रूप से युवा और पहली बार मतदाता बनने वालों को नामांकित करना और अप्रैल, जुलाई और अक्टूबर 2027 तक पात्र होने वालों से अग्रिम आवेदनों को संसाधित करना है। मसौदा सूची 30 नवंबर को प्रकाशित की जाएगी, और अंतिम सूची 21 जनवरी को जारी की जाएगी।
