Nagpur Power Theft: 958 Cases Worth Rs1.19 Crore Detected in September

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) detected 958 instances of power theft across Nagpur city, rural, and Wardha circles during September. These cases involved an assessed amount of Rs1.19 crore and 5.51 lakh units of electricity. The company successfully recovered Rs65.70 lakh from 486 consumers. Nagpur City Circle reported the highest number of violations with 387 cases, followed closely by Nagpur Rural Circle with 374 cases. MSEDCL has intensified its anti-power theft drive and urged consumers to obtain legal electricity connections.

महाराष्ट्र राज्य विद्युत वितरण कंपनी लिमिटेड (MSEDCL) ने सितंबर के महीने में नागपुर शहर, ग्रामीण और वर्धा सर्किलों में बिजली चोरी के 958 मामले पकड़े। इन मामलों में ₹1.19 करोड़ की बिजली और 5.51 लाख यूनिट बिजली का अनुमान लगाया गया था। कंपनी ने 486 उपभोक्ताओं से ₹65.70 लाख की वसूली की। नागपुर सिटी सर्कल में सबसे ज़्यादा 387 मामले सामने आए, जबकि नागपुर रूरल सर्कल में 374 मामले थे। MSEDCL ने बिजली चोरी के खिलाफ अपना अभियान तेज़ कर दिया है और उपभोक्ताओं से कानूनी बिजली कनेक्शन लेने की अपील की है।
