Two Held With 11 Kg Ganja On Express Train At Jolarpet Station

Government Railway Police arrested two commuters, identified as K. Prakash (25) and R. Sakthivel (20), both residents of Salem, for possessing 11 kg of ganja. The seizure occurred on Wednesday aboard the Shalimar – Trivandrum Central Super-Fast Express train at Jolarpet railway station. The arrests were made as part of 'Operation Narcos,' a special drive against illegal drug transportation. The duo attempted to flee but were apprehended by the police. A case has been registered, and the arrested individuals have been lodged in Vellore Central Prison pending further investigation.
