Karnataka Leader Highlights Drought, Farmer Suicides At Kittur Utsav Inauguration

Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha leader Chukki Nanjundaswamy has highlighted the severe drought and agrarian crisis facing the state, warning of increased farmer distress. Speaking at the Kittur Utsav, she noted that farmer suicides remain a grave concern, with Karnataka ranking high nationally and Belagavi district high within the state. Nanjundaswamy also pointed out the growing 'feminisation of agriculture' as women increasingly bear the burden of crop failures and debt.

कर्नाटक राज्य रैयथा संघ की नेता चुक्की नंजुंडस्वामी ने राज्य में गंभीर सूखे और कृषि संकट को उजागर किया है। उन्होंने चेतावनी दी है कि किसानों की परेशानी और बढ़ेगी। किटूर उत्सव में बोलते हुए, उन्होंने कहा कि किसानों की आत्महत्या एक गंभीर चिंता का विषय बनी हुई है। कर्नाटक राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर और बेलगावी जिला राज्य में इस मामले में बहुत ऊपर है। नंजुंडस्वामी ने खेती के बढ़ते 'स्त्रीकरण' की ओर भी इशारा किया, क्योंकि महिलाएं फसल की बर्बादी और कर्ज का बोझ लगातार उठा रही हैं।
