Automakers Boost Production To Meet Festive Demand With Large Order Books

Indian automakers are increasing vehicle production and dealer inventory to satisfy high customer demand during the crucial festive season. Maruti Suzuki has 220,000 pending bookings, equivalent to 16 days of stock, and is adding production capacity. Hyundai Motor India has built four to five weeks of inventory across its network to ensure timely deliveries. Mahindra & Mahindra has scaled up its SUV and EV manufacturing capacity to 68,000 units monthly to reduce waiting periods and meet robust demand.
