The Delhi government has granted consent to initiate criminal contempt proceedings against Cockroach Janta Party leader Ratna Singh. This action follows her social media posts allegedly questioning the independence of a Saket District Court judge. Singh had posted that the judge was "serving the master" and taking breaks during proceedings. The government's counsel stated that such remarks undermine public confidence in the judicial system and strike at its impartiality. Consent was granted under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971.
