A 64-year-old man from Trichy has lost Rs 1.1 lakh to a fraudster posing as a customer service executive. The victim, P Manickam, searched online for a home appliance store's customer care number and contacted one listed. He was later contacted by an unidentified person who sent him a link. After furnishing personal details, Rs 1.1 lakh was withdrawn from his accounts using his credit card and bank details.

तिरुचि के एक 64 वर्षीय व्यक्ति से एक ठग ने ग्राहक सेवा अधिकारी बनकर ₹1.1 लाख की ठगी कर ली। पीड़ित, पी. मणिक्कम, ने एक होम अप्लायंस स्टोर का ग्राहक सेवा नंबर ऑनलाइन खोजा और सूचीबद्ध नंबर पर संपर्क किया। बाद में एक अज्ञात व्यक्ति ने उनसे संपर्क किया जिसने उन्हें एक लिंक भेजा। व्यक्तिगत विवरण देने के बाद, उनके क्रेडिट कार्ड और बैंक विवरण का उपयोग करके उनके खातों से ₹1.1 लाख निकाल लिए गए।
