Members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu, have claimed responsibility for the attack via a social media post. They stated that Shroff had been warned previously, and this action was taken due to non-compliance. The post issued a clear warning that anyone in the film industry who does not heed their demands or works with Salman Khan will be targeted next.
