Volkswagen's operating profit dropped nearly 10% to 3.5 billion euros in the second quarter, missing estimates and leading CFO Arno Antlitz to call for a second restructuring. The carmaker scrapped its 2026 revenue growth forecast, with China sales falling over 31% in the first half. Volkswagen is considering up to 100,000 job cuts as it faces challenges with efficiency and future plant utilization.
