Air India Passengers Recount Hijacking Scare After Frankfurt Flight Diverted

An Air India flight from Frankfurt to Delhi was diverted to Jaipur on Wednesday after the pilot issued a hijacking alert, transmitting the internationally recognised code 7500. The Boeing 787-9 aircraft, carrying 293 passengers and 13 crew, landed in Jaipur around 9:30 am. Passengers were kept on board for security checks before being allowed to re-board and fly to Delhi, arriving around 3:15 pm. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation will investigate the cause of the alert, suspected to be a technical glitch.

बुधवार को फ्रैंकफर्ट से दिल्ली आ रही एयर इंडिया की एक फ्लाइट को हाईजैकिंग अलर्ट जारी होने के बाद जयपुर डायवर्ट कर दिया गया। पायलट ने इंटरनेशनल कोड 7500 भेजा था। 293 यात्रियों और 13 क्रू मेंबर्स वाले बोइंग 787-9 विमान ने सुबह करीब 9:30 बजे जयपुर में लैंड किया। सुरक्षा जांच के लिए यात्रियों को विमान में ही रोका गया, जिसके बाद उन्हें दिल्ली के लिए रवाना किया गया और वे दोपहर करीब 3:15 बजे दिल्ली पहुंचे। डायरेक्टरेट जनरल ऑफ सिविल एविएशन इस अलर्ट के कारण की जांच करेगा, जिसके पीछे तकनीकी खराबी की आशंका है।
