Maharashtra's Chief Electoral Officer S Chockalingam has directed district election officers to resolve all pending claims and objections concerning the draft electoral roll. This directive mandates the completion of field verification and regular review of pendency to ensure no application remains unresolved past the deadline. Between and, district election offices received over 15 lakh forms for voter registration, correction, and deletion. The majority of these were applications for new voter registrations, followed by corrections and deletions.
