HYDRAA Clears 12 Acres of Encroachments on RK Puram Lake

The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has removed encroachments from 12 acres of RK Puram lake in Malkajgiri. The lake, also known as Mukkidikunta, spans 75 acres and is a vital water body. Encroachments had spread across 12 acres within the Full Tank Level limits, with some areas used for pig slaughter and waste dumping. HYDRAA demolished precast walls, fenced the reclaimed land, and installed signboards to prevent future occupation. This action follows complaints from local residents.
