The patient, Alpana Dey, had been admitted for kidney ailments. Her relatives discovered the horrific state of her body upon visiting the hospital. A committee has been formed to investigate the incident, focusing on potential lapses in supervision and maintenance. The inquiry is expected to submit its report within three days.
