India's Festive Rush Sees Two-Wheeler Registrations Surge 23%

Two-wheelers have led India's festive vehicle market, with registrations jumping 23% year-on-year in the first week of the season. Passenger vehicles also grew, but at a slower 7% rate, despite higher growth in the first half of the fiscal year. This surge in two-wheeler demand occurred even with a high base from last year's GST cuts. Trucks saw a significant 101% increase, though attributed partly to a weak prior-year base, while tractor registrations rose 28%. The overall festive period runs through November 11.

त्योहारी सीजन के पहले हफ्ते में टू-व्हीलर ने भारत के त्योहारी वाहन बाजार में सबसे आगे रहे, रजिस्ट्रेशन में पिछले साल की तुलना में 23% की उछाल देखी गई। पैसेंजर वाहनों में भी 7% की दर से वृद्धि हुई, जो कि इस वित्तीय वर्ष की पहली छमाही में दर्ज की गई उच्च वृद्धि दर से कम है। यह टू-व्हीलर की मांग में उछाल पिछले साल GST में कटौती के कारण बने उच्च आधार के बावजूद आया। ट्रकों में 101% की महत्वपूर्ण वृद्धि देखी गई, हालांकि यह पिछले साल के कमजोर आधार का हिस्सा भी है, जबकि ट्रैक्टर रजिस्ट्रेशन में 28% की वृद्धि हुई। पूरा त्योहारी सीजन 11 नवंबर तक चलेगा।
