It is advised to avoid building a puja room, kitchen, or bathroom beneath the stairs. A puja room requires a serene and clean space, which is not possible with constant foot traffic on the stairs. Similarly, kitchens are associated with fire and heavy pressure, making them unsuitable for this location. Bathrooms are also discouraged due to water and drainage concerns. Instead, the space can be used for closed storage of general household items.
