Supreme Court Asks Authorities To Release Lawyers Detained Over CJP Protest

The Supreme Court Bar Association has urged the Chief Justice of India to intervene in the detention of lawyers by Delhi Police and central forces. Advocates were protesting peacefully in the Supreme Court area and were detained ahead of a proposed demonstration. The association expressed concern over the detention of senior and young lawyers, including women, and called for action. The Chief Justice has communicated to authorities to release the detained lawyers, with around 1,500 people detained in connection with the planned protest.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट बार एसोसिएशन ने भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश से दिल्ली पुलिस और केंद्रीय बलों द्वारा वकीलों की हिरासत में हस्तक्षेप करने का आग्रह किया है। वकील सुप्रीम कोर्ट क्षेत्र में शांतिपूर्वक विरोध कर रहे थे और एक प्रस्तावित प्रदर्शन से पहले उन्हें हिरासत में ले लिया गया था। एसोसिएशन ने महिलाओं सहित वरिष्ठ और युवा वकीलों की हिरासत पर चिंता व्यक्त की और कार्रवाई की मांग की। मुख्य न्यायाधीश ने अधिकारियों को हिरासत में लिए गए वकीलों को रिहा करने का निर्देश दिया है, क्योंकि नियोजित विरोध के संबंध में लगभग 1,500 लोगों को हिरासत में लिया गया था।
