Supreme Court Orders Action on 16,726 Illegal Merut

The Supreme Court has ordered the sealing and demolition of 16,726 illegal constructions identified in Zone-A of Meerut. A judicial commission headed by former Supreme Court judge Sudhanshu Dhulia will investigate the land's nature in Uladeypur, where these colonies were built. The bench expressed shock and concern over the proliferation of illegal colonies, noting that 16 teams found all identified constructions to be unauthorized. Officials will be held personally responsible for any loss of life due to negligence, with detailed reports also requested for Zones B, C, and D.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने मेरठ के ज़ोन-ए में 16,726 अवैध निर्माणों को सील करने और गिराने का आदेश दिया है। पूर्व जज सुधंशु धूलिया की अगुवाई में एक न्यायिक आयोग उल्देपुर की ज़मीन की जांच करेगा, जहाँ ये कॉलोनियां बनी हैं। कोर्ट ने अवैध कॉलोनियों के बढ़ते चलन पर चिंता जताई। अधिकारियों को लापरवाही से होने वाली किसी भी जानमाल की हानि के लिए व्यक्तिगत रूप से जिम्मेदार ठहराया जाएगा।
