Transport Minister Byrathi Suresh stated that the Cabinet discussed the fare revision due to increased diesel costs impacting transport corporations. A meeting with transport corporation officials is scheduled for November 3 to assess financial implications. The final decision on the fare increase will be announced on November 4, aiming to ease the financial burden on corporations and improve services.
