Dalit group condemns ex-MP's remarks

The Karnataka State Dalit Sangharsh Samiti (DSS) has strongly condemned former MP Pratap Simha for his reported remarks against the Dalit community and the wearing of blue scarves. DSS State convener D.G. Sagar called the statements highly objectionable and derogatory, reflecting a disregard for the Dalit movement's history and constitutional values. Sagar demanded an unconditional apology from Mr. Simha and warned that such statements could provoke communal tensions.
