Ahmedabad BCA Student Loses Rs 9.6 Lakh in Online Task Scam

A 24-year-old BCA student in Ahmedabad has been defrauded of Rs 9.6 lakh through an online task scam. He was lured into completing Amazon product-ranking assignments via WhatsApp and Telegram groups, initially receiving small rewards to build trust. Subsequently, he was persuaded to make multiple payments for prepaid tasks and to unlock higher-value assignments. When he attempted to withdraw his earnings, fraudsters froze his account and demanded further payments for alleged taxes and fees.
