नई दिल्ली में 17 सितंबर 2026 को केंद्रीय वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने नेपाल के वित्त मंत्री Swarnim Wagle से मुलाकात की। दोनों देशों में हाल ही में आई विनाशकारी बाढ़ और नेपाल की पुनर्निर्माण की प्राथमिकताओं पर चर्चा हुई। सीतारमण ने जान-माल के नुकसान पर दुख जताया और भारत की ओर से मदद का भरोसा दिलाया। दोनों मंत्रियों ने आर्थिक संबंधों को मजबूत करने, कनेक्टिविटी बढ़ाने और व्यापार व निवेश को गहरा करने पर भी बात की।
