IIT Bombay has revised its exam protocol following the tragic suicide of a student, Sahil Ravindra Wakode. The institute's Senate has paused its harshest penalties, allowing students caught with phones to finish their exams and provide their side of the story later. A counsellor from the Quick Response Team will now be present when students leave the hall after an alleged incident. This interim procedure aims to provide students with a fairer hearing and crucial emotional support during stressful situations.
