AIFF President Assures No Financial Burden for Friendly Matches

All India Football Federation (AIFF) president Kalyan Chaubey has assured members that the federation will not face any immediate financial burden from the three recent home friendlies. These matches, featuring top-50 World Cup teams, were estimated to cost between ₹80 crore to ₹85 crore. Chaubey explained that hosting these games highlighted the challenges of bidding for the 2027 Asian Cup, which required significant stadium investment. He also noted the extensive effort needed to prepare Salt Lake stadium for international standards, with assistance from the state government.

ऑल इंडिया फुटबॉल फेडरेशन (AIFF) के अध्यक्ष कल्याण चौबे ने सदस्यों को आश्वासन दिया है कि हाल ही में हुए तीन घरेलू दोस्ताना मैचों से फेडरेशन पर कोई तत्काल वित्तीय बोझ नहीं पड़ेगा। विश्व कप की शीर्ष-50 टीमों की विशेषता वाले इन मैचों की अनुमानित लागत ₹80 करोड़ से ₹85 करोड़ के बीच थी। चौबे ने समझाया कि इन खेलों की मेजबानी ने 2027 एशियाई कप के लिए बोली लगाने की चुनौतियों को उजागर किया, जिसके लिए महत्वपूर्ण स्टेडियम निवेश की आवश्यकता थी। उन्होंने राज्य सरकार की सहायता से अंतरराष्ट्रीय मानकों के लिए साल्ट लेक स्टेडियम तैयार करने के लिए आवश्यक व्यापक प्रयास को भी नोट किया।
