Smallcaps Surge 2.3x Since April 2023; Expert Sees More Multibaggers

India's smallcap market value has surged 2.3 times since April 2023, significantly outperforming largecaps which grew 1.4 times. Despite higher trailing valuations, founder Vikas Khemani believes smallcaps offer the best way to invest in India's domestic growth story. He argues that on future earnings estimates and a like-for-like comparison of domestic, non-financial companies, smallcaps are cheaper. Smallcaps are more closely tied to the domestic economy, with a larger representation in sectors like healthcare and industrials, unlike largecaps which are dominated by financials and IT.

अप्रैल 2023 से भारत के स्मॉलकैप मार्केट वैल्यू में 2.3 गुना का उछाल आया है, जिसने लार्जकैप्स के 1.4 गुना के मुकाबले काफी बेहतर प्रदर्शन किया है। ज़्यादा ट्रेलिंग वैल्यूएशन के बावजूद, फाउंडर विकास खेमानी का मानना है कि भारत की डोमेस्टिक ग्रोथ स्टोरी में निवेश करने का सबसे अच्छा तरीका स्मॉलकैप्स हैं। उनका तर्क है कि भविष्य की कमाई के अनुमानों और डोमेस्टिक, नॉन-फाइनेंशियल कंपनियों की समान तुलना पर, स्मॉलकैप्स सस्ते हैं। स्मॉलकैप्स डोमेस्टिक इकोनॉमी से ज़्यादा जुड़े हुए हैं, जिनमें हेल्थकेयर और इंडस्ट्रियल्स जैसे सेक्टर्स में ज़्यादा प्रतिनिधित्व है, जबकि लार्जकैप्स में फाइनेंशियल और IT का दबदबा है।
