The Northeast monsoon is expected to commence over the south peninsula within the next two to three days, according to the Regional Meteorological Centre. This arrival will coincide with the withdrawal of the Southwest monsoon from the rest of the country. Rainfall in Tamil Nadu is predicted to increase gradually from Wednesday, with widespread rain expected from Thursday. This increased rainfall brings hope for vegetable traders, who anticipate stabilised prices within two weeks due to improved supplies.
