Catastrophic floods in Nepal have killed over 1,450 people and destroyed crucial highways, severely impacting the nation's tourism industry. This disaster has led to widespread cancellations by international travellers, disrupting the peak season which typically begins in September. Businesses like tour planner Pushpraj Rimal's have seen drastically reduced income, with Rimal reporting only a quarter of his usual business. Small vendors like Seeta Nepali are also struggling, earning significantly less due to the scarcity of tourists.

नेपाल में भयानक बाढ़ से 1,450 से ज़्यादा लोग मारे गए हैं और ज़रूरी हाईवे तबाह हो गए हैं, जिससे देश के पर्यटन उद्योग पर गंभीर असर पड़ा है। इस आपदा के कारण अंतरराष्ट्रीय यात्रियों ने बड़े पैमाने पर बुकिंग रद्द कर दी है, जिससे सितंबर में शुरू होने वाला पीक सीजन बाधित हो गया है। टूर प्लानर पुष्पराज रिमाल जैसे व्यवसायों की आय में भारी कमी आई है, रिमाल ने बताया कि उनका व्यवसाय सामान्य से केवल एक चौथाई रह गया है। सीता नेपाली जैसे छोटे विक्रेता भी संघर्ष कर रहे हैं, पर्यटकों की कमी के कारण उनकी कमाई काफी कम हो गई है।
