BJP BLAs Deny Filing 77% of Delhi Voter Deletion Applications

Of the 20 BLAs contacted, 16 stated they did not file or sign any Form 7 applications seeking to remove electors. These applications, citing reasons like 'absent' or 'death', targeted Muslim voters. The Hindu verified that the targeted electors reside at their registered addresses, and the local Booth Level Officer (BLO) had not received physical copies of the forms.

दिल्ली के मुस्तफाबाद में मतदाता हटाने के 77% आवेदनों में आपत्ति जताने वाले के तौर पर नामित भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) के बूथ स्तर के एजेंटों (बीएलए) ने इसमें अपनी संलिप्तता से इनकार किया है। संपर्क किए गए 20 बीएलए में से 16 ने कहा कि उन्होंने मतदाताओं को हटाने के लिए फॉर्म 7 के लिए कोई आवेदन दायर नहीं किया या उस पर हस्ताक्षर नहीं किए। 'अनुपस्थित' या 'मृत्यु' जैसे कारणों का हवाला देते हुए इन आवेदनों ने मुस्लिम मतदाताओं को निशाना बनाया। द हिंदू ने सत्यापित किया कि लक्षित मतदाता अपने पंजीकृत पतों पर रहते हैं, और स्थानीय बूथ स्तर के अधिकारी (बीएलओ) को फॉर्म की भौतिक प्रतियां नहीं मिली थीं।
