He stated that this obstruction is a "crime against the people of India." Starlink, which uses satellites for broadband internet, has obtained a government license but awaits spectrum allocation and security clearances for commercial operations. SpaceX has partnered with Bharti Airtel to potentially offer Starlink services, including to underserved rural areas. A SpaceX executive confirmed that Starlink's India operations were built to meet the country's security requirements and are ready to launch.
