A 48-year-old mobile repairer from Mumbai has been issued a tax demand of nearly ₹32 crore by Income Tax and GST authorities. He claims his documents were misused by an acquaintance to establish a company, open bank accounts, and conduct export business in his name. The accused allegedly promised him a share of profits, but no profits materialized. The misuse came to light when the repairer received an email demanding the substantial tax dues. A case has been registered by the Economic Offences Wing for cheating and criminal conspiracy.

मुंबई के एक 48 वर्षीय मोबाइल रिपेयरर को इनकम टैक्स और GST अधिकारियों ने लगभग ₹32 करोड़ का टैक्स नोटिस भेजा है। उसका दावा है कि जान-पहचान वाले एक व्यक्ति ने उसके दस्तावेजों का इस्तेमाल करके उसके नाम पर एक कंपनी खोली, बैंक खाते खुलवाए और एक्सपोर्ट का बिजनेस किया। आरोपी ने उसे मुनाफे में हिस्सा देने का वादा किया था, लेकिन कोई मुनाफा नहीं हुआ। जब रिपेयरर को भारी टैक्स की मांग वाला ईमेल मिला, तब इस धोखाधड़ी का पता चला। पुलिस की आर्थिक अपराध शाखा ने धोखाधड़ी और आपराधिक साजिश का मामला दर्ज किया है।
