The hospital staff reportedly administered the injection without properly verifying her prescription or the required treatment. The woman's family discovered the error when she did not receive relief from her stomach pain. They have lodged a complaint with the Civil Surgeon, who has promised an investigation into the matter.

बिहार के गोपालगंज सदर अस्पताल में लापरवाही का एक चौंकाने वाला मामला सामने आया है। यहां पेट दर्द का इलाज कराने आई एक युवती को कथित तौर पर दवा की जगह रेबीज का इंजेक्शन लगा दिया गया। अस्पताल के कर्मचारियों ने कथित तौर पर उसका पर्चा या जरूरी इलाज ठीक से जांचे बिना ही इंजेक्शन दे दिया। जब युवती को पेट दर्द से राहत नहीं मिली तो उसके परिवार को गलती का पता चला। उन्होंने सिविल सर्जन से शिकायत की है, जिन्होंने मामले की जांच का वादा किया है।
