Ram Temple Trust Treasurer Won't Quit Over Theft

Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj, treasurer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, stated he will not resign following an alleged Rs3 crore donation embezzlement. He believes State Bank of India officials should have flagged the suspicious transactions, attributing the theft to bank laxity. While acknowledging security lapses, Maharaj assured that measures are being taken to strengthen the system.

श्री राम जन्मभूमि तीर्थ क्षेत्र ट्रस्ट के कोषाध्यक्ष स्वामी गोविंददेव गिरि महाराज ने कहा है कि वह 3 करोड़ रुपये के कथित गबन के आरोप के बाद इस्तीफा नहीं देंगे। उनका मानना है कि स्टेट बैंक ऑफ इंडिया के अधिकारियों को संदिग्ध लेनदेन को पहले ही पकड़ लेना चाहिए था। उन्होंने चोरी के लिए बैंक की लापरवाही को जिम्मेदार ठहराया। सुरक्षा में चूक स्वीकार करते हुए, महाराज ने आश्वासन दिया कि सिस्टम को मजबूत करने के लिए कदम उठाए जा रहे हैं।
