Hindutva Group Marches To Kolkata Film Institute, Throws Stones

A Hindutva group, the Bangiyo Hindu Jagaran Manch, marched to the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute in Kolkata on Sunday. The group broke police barricades and threw stones onto the campus. This incident occurred a week after prior violence at the institute. A spokesperson stated the march was in response to students allegedly disrespecting Swami Vivekananda and Bharat Mata. The group also scuffled with police while attempting to enter the premises.

एक हिन्दुत्व समूह, बंगीय हिन्दू जागरण मंच, रविवार को कोलकाता में सत्यजीत रे फिल्म एंड टेलीविजन इंस्टीट्यूट तक मार्च किया। समूह ने पुलिस के बैरिकेड तोड़ दिए और परिसर में पत्थर फेंके। यह घटना संस्थान में पहले हुई हिंसा के एक हफ्ते बाद हुई। एक प्रवक्ता ने कहा कि यह मार्च छात्रों द्वारा कथित तौर पर स्वामी विवेकानंद और भारत माता का अनादर करने की प्रतिक्रिया में था। परिसर में घुसने की कोशिश के दौरान समूह की पुलिस से झड़प भी हुई।
