Kurnool Stadium Closure Sparks Protests From Visitors

Protests erupted at Kurnool Outdoor Stadium on Saturday following its abrupt closure, allegedly on the orders of the District Sports Development Officer. Regular visitors, including sportspersons, gym users, and morning walkers, opposed the move. They claimed to have personally funded repairs and equipment upgrades for the gym. The protestors appealed to Industries Minister T.G. Bharath Gupta to intervene, as a previous directive ensured the gym and yoga centre remained operational.

शनिवार को कुरनूल आउटडोर स्टेडियम में अचानक बंद होने के बाद विरोध प्रदर्शन हुए। आरोप है कि यह जिला खेल विकास अधिकारी के आदेश पर हुआ। खिलाड़ी, जिम जाने वाले और सुबह टहलने वाले लोग इस फैसले के खिलाफ थे। उन्होंने कहा कि जिम की मरम्मत और उपकरण उन्होंने खुद के पैसों से करवाए थे। प्रदर्शनकारियों ने उद्योग मंत्री टी.जी. भरत गुप्ता से हस्तक्षेप की अपील की है, क्योंकि पहले के आदेश में जिम और योग केंद्र को चालू रखने को कहा गया था।
