Kerala HC Seeks Action on Sabarimala Ghee Loss

The Kerala High Court has directed the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) to consider disciplinary action against employees involved in a Rs 17.14 lakh loss from Sabarimala ghee sales. A vigilance report found the loss resulted from carelessness, not criminal conspiracy. The court also mandated the TDB to formulate a detailed standard operating procedure within three weeks to streamline operations and prevent future losses.

केरल हाई कोर्ट ने त्रावणकोर देवस्वम बोर्ड (TDB) को सबरीमाला घी बिक्री में हुए 17.14 लाख रुपये के नुकसान के लिए जिम्मेदार कर्मचारियों के खिलाफ अनुशासनात्मक कार्रवाई पर विचार करने का निर्देश दिया है। विजिलेंस रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि यह नुकसान आपराधिक साजिश नहीं, बल्कि लापरवाही से हुआ। कोर्ट ने TDB से तीन हफ्ते के अंदर संचालन को सुव्यवस्थित करने और भविष्य में ऐसे नुकसान से बचने के लिए एक विस्तृत मानक संचालन प्रक्रिया बनाने को भी कहा है।
