A woman named Mahtab from Rampur has embraced Hinduism and married Jagdishpuri from Moradabad according to Hindu rituals in Bareilly. Renamed Mamta after conversion, she stated her decision was voluntary and she intends to spend her life with her husband. Mamta expressed fear of 'halala' and 'triple talaq' and a preference for Hindu customs. The couple met four years ago when Jagdishpuri worked as a labourer in her village, and their relationship developed into love. Despite family opposition, they chose to live together and marry.

रामपुर की महताब नाम की महिला ने हिन्दू धर्म अपना लिया है और बरेली में हिन्दू रीति-रिवाजों से मुरादाबाद के जगदीशपुरी से शादी कर ली है। धर्म परिवर्तन के बाद उनका नाम ममता हो गया है। ममता ने कहा कि यह उनका अपना फैसला था और वह अपने पति के साथ ही रहेंगी। उन्होंने 'हलाला' और 'तीन तलाक' से डर लगने और हिन्दू रीति-रिवाजों को पसंद करने की बात कही। दोनों की मुलाकात चार साल पहले हुई थी जब जगदीशपुरी उनके गांव में मजदूरी करता था और धीरे-धीरे दोनों में प्यार हो गया। परिवार के विरोध के बावजूद उन्होंने साथ रहने और शादी करने का फैसला किया।
